Revit Modelling Services

Creating accurate existing phases of Revit projects from point cloud surveys means our Revit Technicians must understand how to analyse a model well, control all of the building junctions and be able to create bespoke content to suit the building’s style.

If you’ve found this page, it’s more than likely you are looking to either carry out an inspection of a hard-to-reach or potentially hazardous area. Or, you are looking to capture beautiful images of your property from a new perspective. Assuming this is the case, you have come to the right place. By utilising the latest in Drone Survey technology and fully certified pilots, at SolidPoint, our specialist surveyors will easily be able to provide a service that suits your needs, capturing data to below a 5mm accuracy in minimal time and most importantly, safely.

With years of surveying and industry experience, we like to assure our potential clients that our team have the expertise and credentials to operate UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) commercially.

Our Technicians

Solidpoint technicians are extremely adept at providing Revit Modelling Services for architectural purposes. To present the information they must understand how to work with sheets, schedules, parameters, tags, view templates and filters to show the correct intent to our clients.

Some of our technicians have worked with Revit for over 10 years (and BIM for even longer), so know and understand its pitfalls and how to get over or around the problems you can run into. Our clients have come to appreciate that we understand the modelling capabilities of Revit well and regularly ask us to help them with the production of their Revit projects.

CAD and Revit Services

We provide a range of Revit modelling and CAD services, in 2D, 3D & BIM.

Get in touch and send us you requirements, we are more than adept at handling:

    • Mark-ups and amendments
    • Bespoke Content or Revit Family Creation
    • From Sketch to fully Federated BIM Project
    • 3d or BIM production from 2D Drawings
    • Visualisation and Animation
    • Plus much more – give us a call and ask us if we can help with your project – 01332 89835

Feasibility Revit Modelling Services

Simply provide us with a project brief; whether it be for an extension or new build, we can quickly produce several design options to suit the cause. If you already have the perfect design sketched out, pass that to us and we’ll bring it to life in a BIM ready Revit model.

Architectural Visualisation

Sometimes you need to express the design intent to the client, this can easily be achieved using stills or short video fly around. We can quickly achieve this from a Revit model or by adding a little more animation using Showcase and Navisworks.

2D CAD to 3D Revit Conversion

Simply pass us your 2D CAD drawings and we will accurately convert these to a Revit model. we can work to any level of detail including the UK governments minimum requirement for BIM Level 2 & 3 and beyond.

Additional Revit Resources

All of our technicians have good experience using BIM 360. We have our own Revit and collaboration licenses, which means that we can jump straight into the working environment of your project and lend an extra hand or two to help you meet your deadlines.

This could be to help you through some of the more monotonous tasks, like working through reflected ceiling plans, or could even keep a project moving while your staff work on other tasks.

Revit Family Creation

As most Revit users will attest to, producing a fully flexible and intelligent family in Revit is a tough skill to master.

As part of our surveying tasks, we’ve created thousands of bespoke parametric Revit families to match varying building styles.

This means that whatever family you need, it’s likely that we’ll be able to produce this for you and build in any intelligence you need.

Point Cloud to Revit Conversion

This is our specialism. Sometimes known as Revit Surveys, eBIM Surveys, or a BIM Survey Model.

Mass Modelling in Revit

Mass Modelling in Revit allows simple analysis with a fair accuracy for a low price, however the accuracy of the models are currently limited to +/-300mm, hence by laser scanning we can heavily improve on this.

We generally produce our mass models in Revit to within a +/-60mm tolerance to allow for rapid mass modelling however, because the data has been collected in a high definition format it is easy to re-use this data to either improve on accuracy or increase the level of detail as and when required.

Many of our clients use this as a starting point for the conceptual design stages, as it ensures the consistency of the information provided when continuing through to detail design and construction. Mass modelling in Revit provide 3D digital information that is simple to work with and extract information from throughout the design stages without loss of data.

Revit Modelling Services Plans

We are happy to provide a fixed fee quotation for projects, however, we find it’s more cost and time-efficient if we just get on with the task at hand! Due to this, we offer a support service where you can purchase a number of hours each month for our technicians to work on your projects:

How Do I Pay For This Service?

We’ll issue you a direct debit form, and the rate you’ve purchased will be collected each month. The rate is calculated by the number of hours per month, multiplied by the cost per hour.

I Haven't Used All Of The Hours I've Purchased This Month - What Happens to Them?

Any unused hours will roll over to the next month, and will accumilate in our time bank until you need them.

What If I Need More Hours Than The Amount I've Purchased or Currently Have Banked?

We’ll inform you when you’ve used up your purchased hours. If you are then happy for us to continue on your project, we’ll invoice the additional hours at the hourly rate you have purchased.

What Do You Mean By "1 Technician?"

This is the minimum number of technicians we’ll allocate to your projects. Depending on our current workload, we may be able to allocate more technicians to reduce your timescales.

What Do You Mean By "Lead-In Period?"

The lead-in period is the maximum amount of time we need before our technicians can start work on your project after instruction. Depending on our current workload, we may be able to start sooner.

How Do I Know How Many Hours I Have Banked?

We’ll provide you with a link to our database that shows you which projects we’ve allocated time to, how many hours you’ve purchased, and how many you currently have banked. This is updated daily by the technician/s working on your projects.

Is There a Minimum Contract Period, or Other Contract To Sign?

No.

There are no contracts to sign and no minimum periods. If you decide to discontinue the service, any hours you have banked will be kept in our system and can still be used for 3 months following the cancellation.
