Point Cloud Survey Utilising Drone Technology

Aerial Drone Surveys
If you need a large area of land surveying rapidly, or struggle to access it. Then an Aerial Drone Survey is your best option.

3D Laser Scanning
Point Cloud Surveys
Your Land and Buildings can be rapidly surveyed using 3D laser Scanners. This will provide an accurate existing or as-built 3D point cloud record of your land and buildings.

This project was designed to provide precise and actionable data for the client, enabling informed decision-making and efficient project planning – utilising point cloud data and drone imaging made that happen.
Our client’s goal was to remodel the faces of the building, and to do so, needed a comprehensive visual of the building’s cladding.
They needed a detailed and accurate survey of the large area, which would have been challenging and time-consuming with traditional methods. The use of drone technology allowed for a swift and comprehensive survey, providing valuable insights that supported project progression.
What Is a Drone Survey?
Aerial Drone Surveys employ drone technology to capture high-resolution images and data from above, offering a unique vantage point that is not possible with traditional surveying methods.
The models we produce with our drone data allow you to see your site in 3D and make notes on specific areas, as well as take accurate dimensions from any part of the model!

What Is a Point Cloud Survey?
A Point Cloud Survey involves the use of advanced laser scanning technology to capture millions of data points from a physical space or object.
These data points, when visualised, form a ‘cloud’, offering a 3D representation that’s rich in detail and depth.
Whether you’re an architect, engineer, developer, or historian, Point Cloud Surveys provide a digital twin that’s almost indistinguishable from the real thing.
How Did Our Client Benefit From Their SolidPoint Survey?
